4.3 Transistor (as an automatic switch)

"During night time, the resistance of the LDR increases
the potential difference across LDR increases
hence the potential difference across R1 decreases
there will be no Ib,
 Ic will not exist...
the bulb will not light up..." explain Audrey :)

My dear students, 

For a transistor to operate, its base circuit must be forward biased...That's why you need to focus ur explaination on the base circiut....Just like Audrey's explanation above.  

As for Dennis here, he purposely made mistakes in his explanation...Anybody can help him in his explanation?
