1.3 Understanding Refraction Of Waves

This 5Setia student purposely made a mistake when she complete the refraction of water wave diagram. Can you guess who is this :) and what is the mistake?

Please remember class, refraction of waves occur when
1. light travel through different optical densities medium
2. water wave travel through different depth of water
3. sound wave travel through different density medium

1. Creating Longitudinal & Transverse Wave Using Slinky Spring.

Picture shows Shane and his classmates 5 Amanah
success in creating the two types of wave...
Remember class!!!
Longitudinal Wave is a type of wave formed when the particle of the mediumvibrate parallel to the direction of propagation of waves....transverse wave???19 Jan 2009

Video shows 5Setia's students lead by Lucas & Simon observing principle of superposition where constructive interference & destructive interference occur.

My dearest F5 students...do remember this,

There are 2 types of interference:

1. Constructive Interference =
phenomenon whentrough meets trough orcrest meets crest or
compression meets compression
 or
rarefaction meet rarefaction

2. Destructive Interference =
phenomenon when trough meets crest orcompression meets rarefaction

***Please don't write Constructive WAVES....The word `WAVE' is rejected.
Use Constructive `INTERFERENCE'
